Bâton Rouge, treated as a guest but like coming home!

The first of February 2003, was the memorable day that we opened the doors of our Motorlodge. The word “motorlodge” did not exist and it seemed appropriate to give our business a unique name.

At that time, there were people who thought we were crazy to start a company like this but it was the concept and determination of us, Bendert van Reek and Hetty Everaarts, which made Bâton Rouge a unique place where peace, space, comfort and good healthy home cooked food found their home.

Ten years later, with a lot of satisfaction, Baton Rouge is still the place that motorcycle riders choose and it feels that “motorlodge” has become a worthy word.

Many guests, both nationally and internationally have found Bâton Rouge in Vielsalm here in the Belgian Ardennes. The majority are return clients. We boast good home cooked food, motortalk around the very friendly bar, which go hand in hand with the wishes of our guests. A good secure inside garage for your motorcycle, a nice bed in a room or dormitory, a large garden with a campfire and a wide range of Belgian beers are of course not to be missed!

Our Motorlodge is located in an old brewery on the edge of our charming village Vielsalm, from which you can drive around wonderfull roads and scenery with your own chosen track or one of the downloaded tracks from the Bâton Rouge website.

Bâton Rouge is created out of love for the profession, for motorcycling and for each other. Based in the most beautiful area of the Ardennes and of the WW2 Battle of the Bulge fame, it found its roots together with the good life and great hospitality.
